About Reach: The Reach Institute for School Leadership (Reach) is a non-profit graduate school of education, which includes two Academies: The Teaching Academy and the Instructional Leadership Academy. The Teaching Academy is comprised of three distinct programs: The Reach Intern Teacher Program, the Reach Professional Teacher Induction Program, and the Moving Inquiry Into Teaching Program. The Reach Instructional Leadership Academy is a program that trains and supports administrators to become strong instructional leaders. Reach partners with schools in the Bay Area region and serves approximately 300 educators. While all Reach partner schools have a commitment to serving traditionally underserved communities, they employ a wide variety of educational philosophies and approaches in pursuit of that goal. The Reach Intern, Induction, and Administrative programs are accredited by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing, and Reach is seeking additional accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).
Overview of the Position: The Administrative Assistant is a full time position. Working closely with the Associate Director, this individual will provide a variety of administrative and operational supports, including, but not limited to office management, external communications, and supporting technology systems and resources. Additionally, the Administrative Assistant will be an important part of a vibrant and creative staff team helping to develop the organization, as well as a key member of the operations team.
