Equity and Universal Access Practicum Reach 360

This practicum is the second year of the Reach Beginning Teacher Support and Assessment (BTSA) program, a California Commission on Teacher Credentialing approved induction program for beginning teachers. Participating teachers build upon the pedagogical skills gained in Reach 350 to ensure all students have access to the curriculum.

As in Reach 350, participating teachers work one-on-one with a coach to examine their classroom practice using the inquiry-based process of plan-teach-analyze-reflect. Teachers document their growth by collecting evidence of their teaching that they submit in a portfolio twice per year.

Possible activities include, but are not limited to:

•Observations and debriefs

•Lesson Planning

•Unit Planning

•Analysis of Student Work

•Focusing on a Case Study Student

•Problem-solving
